Comorbid conditions with a frequency >5% in ME/CFS cohort were compared to C1 (non-ME/CFS) cohort to assess whether disease frequencies differed between the two groups using the Chi-square test of independence (*P < 0.0045 (Bonferroni threshold), **P < 0.0001, ***P < 0.00001, ****P < 0.000001). Frequencies of additional conditions are detailed in Supplementary Data 2.
