Thin: slice thickness ≤ 1.25 mm; thick: slice thickness > 1.25 mm; std: standard kernel; lung: lung kernel; other: scans reconstructed with kernels other than the standard or the lung kernel, or with the lung kernel and thick slices; BOS+: scans of patients with BOS; BOS−: scans of patients never diagnosed with BOS; FEV1—forced expiratory volume in the first second.
  2. The number of patients for whom at least one scan is available in the corresponding range is reported in parentheses. Most scans were reconstructed with more than one algorithm. The last two columns contain numbers aggregated over multiple FEV1 ranges—these are the numbers of scans we used in most experiments.
