Each node represents a specific cluster instance, and edges indicate causal dependency (each node is fully determined by the connected nodes to its left). Red, green, orange, and blue nodes indicate clusters that occur exclusively within the causal pathway of one offspring, with the rightmost terminal nodes being the replicated c2 instances. Black nodes represent clusters that appear in the causal pathway of more than one offspring. This figure can also be found in high resolution as a Supplementary Figure.
