  1. The completeness on ice/snow is significantly less than for the ice-free terrain land coverage class. It is particularly evident that the combined effects of snow in the interior of the ice sheet and ice caps, and shadows in deeply incised valleys have a large impact on overall completeness in the southeast (1981) and east (1987).
