Each case was segmented twice by two clinical experts, A and B (ground truth segmentation). (a) The segmentation of a bone structure (red field) is shown in 2D. (b) The overlap of two manual ground truth segmentations A and B (grey and turquoise) of one case is shown in a 3D visualization. Since the ground truth schemes were created manually according to the number of image slices, a clear tomography-based 3D visualization is achieved in the reconstructed 3D segmentation model without image interpolation.
