Experimental configuration for the SFD laser.
The pump beam from the fiber coupled LD with doughnut spatial profile (inset) is used to excite higher order transversal modes in the Nd:GdCOB SFD crystal. The visible output at the second-harmonic is directly projected onto a flat screen.
