Localization of the exogenous neprilysin in the brain.
Brain sections from neprilysin-knockout mice 14 days after intracardiac injection of 4 × 1011 genome vectors of rAAV9-SynI::NEPWT. Exogenous neprilysin was localized in NeuN-positive neurons (a–c) and was also observed in endosomes as confirmed by colocalization with Rab7 (d–f), Rab9 (g–i), Rab5 (j–l), EEA1 (m–o) and SV2 (p–r).
