(a) and (b) are the gas void fractions for the R- and S-type nozzles, respectively. The inserts depict the velocity ratio of radial to axial direction near the exit of the orifices. The axial coordinate is normalized by nozzle diameter, D (180 μm) and its origin, x/D = 0, is coincided with nozzle orifice inlet. At the orifice exit, the values of x/D are 5 for both nozzles.
