Note in the TEM images that there is an increased loss in mitochondrial integrity in the PHB group compared with the H-R group (yellow arrows) compared with normoxic control cells (white arrows). The damage to mitochondria in the PHB+ was alleviated compared with the H-R group (white arrow). Red arrows indicate differences between sharp and contrast-rich membranes and the blebbed and diffuse membranes in the H-R group. H-R group: cell injury induced by hypoxia reoxygenation; H-R PHB: group lentivirus carrying siRNA PHB; H-R PHB+ group: lentivirus carrying Phb.
