In (e)–(g) the spin-resolved constant energy contours are plotted for the I-terminated surface of Bi3Te4I, while those for the Te-terminated surface are shown in (h)–(j). The red and blue colors denote the positive and negative values of spin projections of Sx, Sy and Sz, respectively. The arrows label the spin polarizations of the outermost contour.
