Density estimates of Antarctic minke whales throughout the Weddell Sea survey region (assuming certain trackline detection probability, both inside and outside the ice).
Each point estimate comprises a 400 km2 square cell. Figure was produced using package mgcv in R and plotted in ArcGIS 9.3.1.
