From: Labeling of neuronal differentiation and neuron cells with biocompatible fluorescent nanodiamonds

FNDs do not inhibit the growth ability of ECS cells.
(a) P19 cells or (b) NT2/D1 cells were plated at a density of 1 × 106 cells per 100-mm Petri dish for 16–20 h. Then the cells were treated with or without FNDs (50 μg/ml for 24 h). For counting the total cell number, the cells were re-cultured in fresh medium by every 2 d until total 6 d. Results were obtained from three separate experiments and the bar represented the mean ± S.E. The cell numbers were not significantly altered by treatment with FNDs in both P19 and NT2/D1 cells (p > 0.05).
