The sample is placed at the focal plane of the lens. The SH patterns at different imaging planes are recorded by a CCD camera mounted on a nanopositioning precision translation stage. Inset is the SEM image of the 2D squarely-poled LiTaO3 slice with a period of 5.5 µm and duty cycle of ~35%.
