Whisker plots (with whiskers representing the range of the distribution) showing the sequence conservation for each group of RDG pairs (numbers of RDGs pairs SF = 1,276; DF = 424). The cDNA identities (a), protein identities (b), Ka/Ks ratios (c) and Ks values (d) were significantly different between the SF and DF groups (Mann–Whitney U test, P values = 8.64 × 10−28, 1.24 × 10−30, 3 × 10−3 and 2.1 × 10−6, respectively).
