Effects of sirtinol on Ca2+ mobilization in fMLF-activated neutrophils.

Fluo-3/AM-labeled human neutrophils were treated with DMSO (as control) and sirtinol (10 μM or 20 μM) for 5 min; then cells were activated by fMLF (0.03 μM) and mobilization of Ca2+ was determined in real time in a spectrofluorometer. Representative traces are shown. Peak intracellular calcium concentration ([Ca2+]i) and reduction of the time taken to decline to half of its peak values (t1/2) are shown as mean ± S.E.M.
