Preferential adsorption of three major abundant isotopes of atmospheric CO2 (12C16O2, 13C16O2 and 12C16O18O) by amine functionalized halloysite nanotubes has been demonstrated using a laser based high-resolution carbon dioxide analyzer based on the integrated cavity output spectroscopy technique.
