From: Non-volatile Clocked Spin Wave Interconnect for Beyond-CMOS Nanomagnet Pipelines

Magnetization dynamics of the C-S converter.
The inset shows the sequence of applied voltage across the piezoelectric layer and spin current through the MTJ. The rising edge of the clock (point A) denotes the instance of information transmission by exciting spin waves via application of voltage, while the falling edge of the clock (point B) represents storage of information via application of spin-torque. The stored bit will be transmitted in the next clock cycle. The polarity of the injected spin current determines the final magnetization state as shown by the blue and red curves.
