(a) The isolines of Ochiai, which is a representative and basal model for models in class I. Its isolines are parallel to the d-axis since it assigns zero-weight on d (does not take d into account). (b) The isolines of Poisson, which is a representative and basal model for models in class II. Its isolines are curves since it takes both d and R into account. All its isolines are within the boundary line, case in which has the same d and λ.
