As ε crosses ε*, however, spatially correlated dislocation structures develop making PB) assymetric and broad. Inset shows variation of skewness (triangles) and kurtosis (circles) of PB) with ε. Note that μ4 changes sign close to ε = ε*; μ3 = μ4 = 0 for a Gaussian. Here and Σ are the mean and standard deviation of PB).
