Distribution of genes in respect to changes in expression efficiency caused by 20 min treatment of E.coli cells with 1 μg/ml of norfloxacin.

The data were obtained by Jeong et al.28 and are available in GEO database (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov) (GSE 4408). Genes were subdivided into two groups: the first one was composed of 1020 divergent genes (red line) and the second one included 1082 collinear or convergent genes (blue line). Both sets were prepared using annotation of E.coli K12 MG1655 genome available in RedulonDB (http://regulondb.ccg.unam.mx/)8.
