Temperature dependence of dc resistivity of bismuth for Zeeman fields applied parallel (hx,y) and perpendicular (hz) to the basal, hexagonal plane. Side panels show results for two values of local spin-orbit interaction, V = 1.05 (top) and V = 1.25 (bottom). Noteworthy, our results are in good semiquantitative agreement with magnetoresistance data reported experimentally11,12,17,18.
