For gold, SESAME #2700 (solid red line) and #2705 (dashed red line) tables predict slightly different plasma temperatures, while both SESAME #7830 (dashed blue line) and #7834 (solid blue line) tables predict nearly the same plasma temperature for diamond. (b) Expected plasma temperatures of gold and diamond as functions of the source-to-target distance, evaluated using heating per atom calculations and their corresponding SESAME tables. A vertical dashed line indicates the distance (2.37 mm) used in this experiment.
