Intense single-cycle Terahertz transients produced by HMQ-TMS (a) THz single-cycle electric field autocorrelation as function of the corresponding pump laser wavelength (same color code as in Fig. 3 ). The THz pulse duration is tunable between 68 fs (purple line, 1500 nm) and 1100 fs (black line, 800 nm) while the THz single-cycle pulse characteristics are maintained. The theoretically-evaluated temporal field evolutions reported in (b) are in excellent agreement with the experimental data.
