Effect of TBBt on I/R-induced apoptosis.
(A) Mice were injected with 2 mg/kg TBBt and kidney tissues were collected 24 h after reperfusion. Tissues were stained with TUNEL (×400). Bar = 250 μm. Apoptotic cells were counted and expressed as a percentage of all glomerular and tubular cells. The expression levels of cleaved caspase-3, Bax and Bcl-2 were examined by real-time RT-PCR 6 h after reperfusion (B) or Western blotting 24 h after reperfusion (C).
