Intraperitoneal administration of the TAT-BDNF fusion peptide up-regulates Arc or pCREB in hippocampus of APPswe mice and Sco-infused rats.
The mice and rats were treated as described in Fig. 1. After behavior test, the animals were sacrificed and the hippocampal extracts were prepared for Western blotting and quantitative analyses of Arc (n = 3) (A,B) and CREB (n = 5) (C,D). The level of p-CREB was normalized against total CREB. The total levels of CREB and Arc were normalized against tubulin probed by DM1A. *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 vs Con (APPwt or normal rats), #p < 0.05, ##p < 0.01 vs APPswe group or Sco group.
