Pathogenicities of mouse-adapted influenza B viruses in mice.

All groups of mice were observed for 14 days for (A) morbidity and (B) mortality. (C) Virus growth in mouse lungs. Five groups were infected intranasally with 6.0 log10 TCID50 of each virus. Lung virus titers on days 1, 3, 5 and 7 dpi are expressed as log10 TCID50 per gram of tissue. *indicates P < 0.0001 and † indicates P < 0.001 compared with the P0 (B/Florida/04/06); mouse death is indicated by ‡.
