Dashed and chain curves are shown for the luminescence from the bulk band and surface state, respectively, at 0.4 eV, 0.5 eV and 0.6 eV. The curves are normalized at the maxima of the summation of the two contributions and offset for clarity of display. The curves at photon energies lower than the bulk band gap energy of 0.35 eV are shown in blue. (b) Calculated time-resolved luminescence spectra from 0.5 ps to 3.5 ps (solid curves with symbols).
