Sections taken 3, 5 and 7 days post-injury (AC, respectively) were labeled with antibodies to laminin (blue) and to BrdU (green) and with propidium iodide (red) to mark myofiber borders, nuclei of newly divided cells and all cell nuclei, respectively. Shown are representative fields of view in the vicinity of the injection site. Arrows mark some of the regenerating myofibers identified as myofibers with centrally located BrdU-labeled nuclei.
