Effect of the overexpression of PAB1 on S. cerevisiae stress tolerance.

Wild type and Pab1(+) strains of BY4741 and CEN.PK backgrounds were grown in minimal medium at pH 5.5 (a) in the absence of stress, (b) in the presence of 4 mM H2O2 and (c) at 42 °C. Note the different scale of the ordinate axis of growth curves performed at 42 °C. The results of one representative experiment of three are shown.
