(A) WTA mice experienced early natriuresis, but this abated after day 5 (upper panel), leading to a negative Na+ balance before day 3 and a positive balance thereafter (lower panel). WTA mice given losartan (WTA-L mice) had high urinary Na+ and a negative Na+ balance on day 5 and this differed significantly from WTA mice given spironolactone (WTA-S mice) (6 mice/group).
