(A) Expression levels of P-AMPK, an indicator of energy stress, are lower in LCC6HER-2 relative to LCC6Vector tumours; as expected, the expression levels of a downstream effector of P-AMPK, P-ACC, follow the same trend (P-AMPK: phosphorylated AMPK; P-ACC: phosphorylated ACC). (B) Western blot analysis shows that LCC6HER-2 tumours have lower expression levels of GLUT1, the major transmembrane transporter for glucose, relative to LCC6Vector tumours. Representative results from two tumours are shown in the figure. For clarity, the bands in the figure were cropped from the original gel. Gels were run under the same experimental conditions.
