Infection of H9N2 on human pulmonary endothelial cells induces rapid phosphorylation of p38, JNK and STAT3.

HPMECs were infected with H9N2 at 2 MOI. Total cell lysates were harvested at the indicated time (0.25, 0.5 and 1 h after addition of virus and 0.25, 0.5, 1, 6 and 24 h.p.i.). Phosphorylation and total p38, JNK, ERK and STAT3 were detected by Western blot analysis with specific antibodies. (A) Representative image from three independent experiments. (B) Quantitative analysis of Western blotting. Values are presented as fold-change of phosphorylated p38, JNK, ERK or STAT3 normalized to the corresponding total form and then compared with mock-infected cells.
