In total, 706 exons were identified as differentially expressed by ANOVA (FDR corrected p-values < 0.05) between different irradiation doses. (a) Unsupervised hierarchical clustering analysis of the 706 exons (rows) showed perfect separation of samples (columns) depending on the dose of exposure. Red: high gene expression, blue: low gene expression. (b) 2D Principal Components Analysis (PCA) also separated samples depending on the dose. Each circle represents the expression profile of the 706 significantly differentially expressed exons in one sample. The percentage of the variance explained by the first and the second principal components is 45.9% and 7.3%, respectively. Ellipses represent two standard deviations.
