Compound 1 induces cell cycle arrest and apoptotic cell death in HepG2 cells.
(A) Compound 1 induces cell cycle arrest at the G2/M boundary. The cells were treated with vehicle or with 1 at 0 μM, 6.25 μM, 12.5 μM, or 25 μM for 48 h and the cell cycle distribution was assessed by flow cytometry; (B) Percentages of cells in different phases of the cell cycle; (C) The levels of Cdc2 and Cdc25C were measured by western blotting using GAPDH as the loading control.
