Spermatophore proteins are mostly encoded by male-biased genes.
Relative protein abundance in the spermatophore (emPAI) as compared to the ratio of male/female whole body normalized expression (FPKM). Both axes are labeled with logarithmic values. Two genes, serpin GMOY004724 and the novel GMOY012285, displayed no expression in females (normalized expression values = 0) and thus could not be included in the expression fold change ratio calculations.
