(b) The left striatum was activated more strongly in the ordinal trials than in the cardinal trials in only the TEST task (one-sample I-test with peak threshold P < 0.001 (uncorrected) and cluster threshold P < 0.001 (uncorrected)). **P < 0.01 in paired t-test. Error bars indicate the standard error of mean. We used uncorrected height (peak-level) and extent (cluster-level) thresholds of P < 0.001 for visualizing second-level group analyses.
