  1. Growth inhibition of the oomycete P. capsici was evaluated by a disk diffusion test and denoted as minimum doses to form a definite inhibition zone. Metalaxyl was used as a positive control (PC). In MIC test, PCs were amphotericin B for C. rugosa and ampicillin for B. subtilis and E. coli. The cytotoxicity against HeLa cells was determined by MTT test and paclitaxel was used as PC.
