From: Starving honey bee (Apis mellifera) larvae signal pheromonally to worker bees

Survival of worker larvae with different durations of starvation from 0 to 7 hours.
4-day old larvae (solid line and diamonds) survived longer than 2-day old larvae (dash line and squares). Forty 2- and 4-day old larvae were tested and the study was replicated three times. The mean + SE of each time point were presented.
