Cells were treated in the presence or absence of 1 mM MG with or without compound C (C.C. 10 μM) in indicated time. (A) Cell viability was measured by MTT assay. Data are shown as relative cell viability (mean % ± S.E. bar) as compared with that in control (n = 5). *p < 0.05. (B) The percentage of apoptotic cells was calculated by measuring the percentage of cells in the sub-G1 population by using flow cytometry with propidium iodide (PI) staining (n = 3). *p < 0.05.
