Effect of knockdown KCa3.1 on the expression of PI3K and the phosphorylation of Akt, mTOR and P70S6 in TGF-β1-stimulated HK2 cells.

HK2 cells were transfected with scrambled siRNA or KCa3.1 siRNA and then incubated with TGF-β1 (2 ng/ml) for 48 h. The expression of PI3K (a) and phosphorylation of Akt (c), mTOR (e) and P70S6 (g) were determined by western blot analysis. Quantification of PI3K (b), Akt (d), mTOR (f) and P70S6 (h) expression in TGF-β1-exposed HK2 cells. Results are presented as means + SEM. *P < 0.05 and **P < 0.01. N = 4.
