  1. Serum was collected from 4-hour-fasted male mice. Enzymatic kits were used to measure the content of TC, FC, TG, PL and FFAs in serum. CE content was calculated by multiplying the mass difference between TC and FC by 1.67. Body and liver weight, liver/body weight ratio and serum lipid content are expressed as mean ± SEM of 6–7 samples. *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001, versus control group.
