(A) Expression of a pro-inflammatory mediator was assayed by real-time PCR using endothelial enriched RNA obtained from the thoracic aorta after 2 hrs of i.v. injection with saline or rFliC (25 μg/mouse). Endothelial cell purity was qualified in each RNA (SMA/PECAM-1 <0.001). Quantification of the ICAM-1 mRNA expression, ***p < 0.001.
