Dox accumulates in the neuronal nuclei.
Cortical neurons at 28–32 DIV were treated with Dox (0.01 μM) for two days, fixed and stained for MAP2c (Alexa Fluor 488; green) and with the nuclear Hoechst dye (blue) and imaged. Note the red nuclear staining in cells treated with Dox. Scale bar is 20 μm. The zoomed image demonstrates the red nuclear staining.
