14-day-old diploid and autotetraploid 1H NMR spectra were used for correlation. Driver peak: 2.64 (see experimental procedures). All compounds showing statistical correlation (signals displayed in red gradient) participate in the tricarboxylic acid cycle -TCA- (malate (a), citrate (b), and succinate (d)) or carbon:nitrogen balance (γ-aminobutyric acid (c), and glutamate (e)).
