The effects of SAB on the Smad signaling pathway and the MAPK signaling pathway in A549 cells.
A549 cells were pretreated with SAB (50 μg/ml) for 24 h and then treated with TGF-β & TNF-α for another 30 min. Phosphorylation of Smad3 (A), ERK (B), JNK (C) and p38 (D) was determined by western blot and analyzed by densitometry. Data are presented as mean ± SD of three samples and compared by Student’s t-test; *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01.
