Normalized protein amounts are displayed in an area-encoded fashion using Voronoi treemaps. The upper leftmost treemap shows functional protein classification based on TIGR Roles and manual curation. The different sample points can be grouped into phase I (aerobic growth in the presence of glucose; t0), phase II (anaerobic growth in the presence of glucose; t5, t7, t9), and phase IIII (anaerobic growth in the absence of glucose).
