(a) Full-body photothermal images of HeLa tumor-bearing mice after IT injection with 0.1 mL PBS (control, the right mouse, indicated at region Ar2) or Fe3O4 @ Au-PEI.Ac-PEG-FA NSs dispersed in 0.1 mL PBS ([Au] = 20 mM, the left mouse, indicated at region Ar1), followed by exposure to an 808 nm laser with a power density of 1.0 W/cm2 at a time point of 0 min, 2.5 min and 5 min, respectively.
