(A,B) Optos color fundus photography, fluorescein angiography (FA) and skeletonized images reflecting parallelism of the posterior poles of eyes exhibiting a flame-shaped retinal hemorrhage and non-flame-shaped retinal hemorrhage, respectively. Detailed comparisons between color fundus photography and FA at the posterior pole reveal that macular areas with flame-shaped hemorrhages are nonischemic (A); however, macular areas with non-flame-shaped hemorrhages are often accompanied by retinal nonperfusion (B).
