The time of microaneurysm formation in patients with macular edema in branch retinal vein occlusion.

Patients, Thirty-seven eyes of 37 patients (18 men, 19 women), in whom the time of microaneurysm formation after BRVO onset was identified. In 19 eyes (51%) of 37 eyes, microaneurysms were detected within 6 months after BRVO onset and in 31 eyes (84%) of 37 eyes within 9 months (average formation time, 6.1 ± 3.1 [mean ± standard deviation] months).
