Effects of CoQ10 on mean arterial pressure (MAP) in salt-induced hypertensive rats.

An 8% NaCl diet has been used in high salt (HS) diet rats. MAP was increased gradually after HS diet compared with NS diet groups (P < 0.05, n = 7). When compared with HS + oil rats, 15-week of CoQ10 administration by gavage at the dose of 10 mg/kg attenuated high salt diet-induced hypertension (P < 0.05, n = 7). Values are expressed as means ± SE. *P < 0.05 vs control (NS + oil or NS + CoQ10), P < 0.05, HS + CoQ10 vs HS + oil.
